Sinatra Song of the Day:
I'm a Fool To Want You
Powerful ballad with the golden voice of Frank.
Composers / songwriters: Frank Sinatra, Jack Wolf, and Joel Herron (Joel S. Herron). Sinatra is credited as a co-writer after he reworked some of the lyric; Joel Herron later said they added him because of that contribution.
Arranger and conductor: Gordon Jenkins
Recording and release dates:
Recorded May 1, 1957

Sinatra Song of the Day - Witchcraft was 1st recorded in 1957. Written by Cy Coleman with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh. Arranged by Nelson Riddle.
The original recording was on 1957. But I prefer the remake in 1963. It is a faster tempo and Frank was really in the pocket, especially after the orchestra "solo" section. This is the version I am posting. Pumps me up hope it pumps you up to:

What’s a great song that mentions a musical instrument in the title or lyrics?
Musicians write about things they know and love, sometimes describing their guitar or tambourine as an affectionate character in a story. There are literally thousands of songs to choose from.

What’s a great song where you can actually hear rain, wind or thunder?
Sound effects involving these three elements can alter the mood of the song, even taking the listener on a journey.
Wonder Woman Wins 🥇
This one has a lot of things to discuss.
For starters - The Cosby Show is the better show by just about every metric besides Linda Carter running.
There’s no defending Bill Cosby and I’m
not going to the mat over this show but I don’t think what he did should cancel out that shows success.
For decades not many would consider arguing which was better because it was obvious. Now that we know he did some heinous things that cancels what we knew?
There are other cast members that didn’t have anything to do with it and it’s not fair to them I don’t think.
Oh well..what’s done is done but Wonder Woman as a show I think has gone too far already.
Pudding Pops were great..I don’t care if he did the commercials. Bring em back.

Best song I heard today is: People - Barbra Streisand. It is from Funny Girl.
Details: Barbra's recording of "People" was written by composer Jule Styne and lyricist Bob Merrill, arranged by Peter Matz, and released in 1964.

Who’s the FIRST bass player that knocked your socks off?
The role of a bass player can’t be overstated, it was the last of all the instruments that I embraced. It was listening to John Entwistle that truly made me appreciate the bass…you?
Genesis released their fifth studio album, “Selling England by the Pound” on this day in 1973. This is definitely my favourite Genesis album fronted by Peter Gabriel. A no-skip album, “Firth of Fifth” and “The Cinema Show” are epic.

R.E.M. released their eighth studio album, “Automatic for the People” on this day in 1992. For me, it’s probably their best album, “Nightswimming” is my favourite track.
What are your thoughts on this album?

Elton John released his seventh studio album, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” on this day in 1973. It would sell more than 20 million copies worldwide and produce four hit singles. The epic track “Funeral for a Friend” is my favourite.
