❗️Are the Russians already preparing to leave Ukraine?
Putin has unexpectedly called on Russian authorities to start preparing in advance for the return of large numbers of servicemen from the front once the so-called “special military operation” ends.
According to Putin, “many people” will return, and Russia will have to find them jobs and reintegrate them into civilian life.
For years, Russians were promised “Kyiv in three days,” endless victories, and the achievement of every supposed objective. Now the Kremlin is already discussing what to do with its soldiers when they come home.
This is certainly not an announcement of a Russian withdrawal from Ukraine. But the shift in rhetoric is noteworthy.

I’m a former sergeant of Ukraine’s 54th Mechanized Brigade and served as an artillery reconnaissance soldier in 2015–2016.
After my military service, my life changed completely. I was struck by a car while crossing at a pedestrian crossing. I suffered numerous serious injuries and spent years bedridden. Today, I live with a disability and can only move around within my home.
We have three children. I’m unable to work, so my wife is the only one in our family who has a job and supports our household.
