At our caucus meeting earlier this month, we met with community organizers to hear about the work they're doing on the front lines of one of Canada's most expensive cities — from unions to food banks and housing organizers and many more.
While workers struggle to make ends meet, the Liberals have made it clear they're going to use this fall's session to attack the right to strike, push through privatization and more.

BREAKING: Liberal MP Sean Casey was removed from his role as Parliamentary Secretary for supporting NDP MP Jenny Kwan’s bill to close a loophole in Canada’s arms sales regime that allows weapons to be shipped via the United States to Israel, a country that is still committing genocide against the Palestinian people.
It is shocking that Prime Minister Carney decided to change Liberal policy and punish one of his MPs for the simple act of wanting Canada to adhere to the values he touts so confidently on the world stage.
We want to thank MP Casey for having had the moral courage to support our bill. Ensuring that Canada is not complicit in war crimes should never be partisan.

By taxing the richest 0.3% of Canadians, just some 133,000 people, Canada could raise over $1 billion per year, the Parliamentary Budget Officer confirmed today.
Those revenues could go a long way towards fixing our broken healthcare system, building affordable housing, or creating a national public grocery network that would drive down the cost of groceries.
No selling of our airports required. Just the ultra rich paying their fair share.
A new PBO report confirms adding new tax brackets for the wealthiest 0.3% would raise over $1 billion a year.
Instead of selling off Canada's strategic assets, the Liberals must ensure those at the very top do their fair share to protect and build Canada.

Comme tant de Canadiennes et Canadiens, ils souhaitent que l'argent public serve à protéger la prochaine génération plutôt qu'à soutenir de grandes entreprises qui nuisent au climat. Yesterday, seniors wearing pictures of their grandchildren were arrested outside Parliament while protesting Mark Carney's climate cuts.
Like so many Canadians, they want our public dollars spent on protecting the next generation, instead of climate-wrecking big corporations. They're sounding the alarm on what this government is willing to sacrifice to appease corporate lobbyists and investors. All of us should take heed.
