Steele Hall hit his 6th home run of the season last night for the ACL Reds.
The Reds 18-year-old top pick from the 2025 draft is now hitting .299/.419/.564 with 6 HR, 11 SB, and a .983 OPS through his first 31 professional games.
A parent told me she didn’t want her kids lifting weights because she didn’t want to “stunt their growth.”
I understand the concern, but that belief is outdated.
The real risk is not kids strength training.
The real risk is kids playing year-round sports, sprinting, jumping, cutting, landing, and competing without enough strength to handle those forces.
Strength training does not stunt growth.
Poor coaching, poor progressions, too much load, and no supervision are the problem.
Done right, strength training is one of the best things a young athlete can do.
Maddie Hall is putting in the work to separate herself as a middle infielder.
Footwork.
Glove work.
Angles.
Quickness.
Confidence.
Every rep matters when you’re chasing the next level.
Coaches, keep an eye on Maddie Hall.

So proud of this girl @CampbellHicks28
If you really know this girl, she is humble and never boasts! So, someone has to do it for her.
Love getting the opportunity to have her train with me at Nomad!
Thanks to my teammates for having my back in the field and with the hot bats today! It was a fun one for sure! Happy Birthday Mom 🎁

2027 RHP Woods Mcelroy (@SpartansScout ) with a NO HITTER‼️
FB 81-85 ASR
BB 74-76 tight spin
Worked efficiently and in the zone, with the ability to work both sides of the plate. The breaking ball was great for swing and miss.
