Some of the world’s most innovative automotive work is happening in Western Pennsylvania. A team of NHTSA engineers joined Administrator Jonathan Morrison in Pittsburgh to meet with local technology, academic, and governmental leaders to discuss the future of transportation safety and technology. NEW: NHTSA just released the first-ever Pedestrian Safety Test Results for 2027 vehicle models. 102 vehicle models from 10 manufacturers met the new pedestrian protection performance criteria — testing head, hip, leg and knee injury risk across three real-world impact scenarios. Look for the yellow "Pedestrian Protection" badge on a vehicle's safety ratings page to see if it passed. 🔗 Check your next car (or your current one) at NHTSA.gov/Ratings.
