I see a lot of ppl upset over the JJ McCarthy trade, & tht Vikings only received a 5th round pick; that’s actually decent. The writing was on the wall w JJ McCarthy in MN, teams knew they could just get JJ free later (2027 offseason). The Vikings don’t wanna get stuck like the Colts w Anthony Richardson getting nothing, & pretty much followed what the Niners did w Lance. I think if the Vikings would’ve pulled the trigger a little earlier like this summer, they could’ve gotten a 3rd-4th (avoided 2026 bonuses), but waited too long. Imo this is a smart move that frees up cap space, for a team that has started out 3-0. Gives them a chance to pivot if needed, if actually make a run/continue to win. Tbh I don’t care if it looks pretty either, win is a win. The Vikings will be definitely drafting another QB in 2027, & it is a very deep class; building up picks is smart. Vikings are the only undefeated team w unhappy fans, plz really think about why; would you be happier at 0-3?? It’s one thing to have constructive criticism, it’s another to be toxic.
