Some excellent news going into the weekend.
People who drank more coffee had less body fat, less visceral fat, and more lean mass than less-frequent or non-drinkers.
The biggest benefit was seen at 5 or more cups per day.
And for men, every extra cup per day was associated with a ~10 ng/dL higher total testosterone. Higher coffee intake was also associated with better glucose and insulin regulation in men.
This was an observational study, but mechanistic and experimental evidence actually supports coffee's benefits on metabolic and hormonal health. I'm willing to believe there's a real link here rather than draw a conclusion such as "coffee drinkers live healthier lives in general."

There ought to be a “thickness of skin” threshold that one must rise above to have an X account. Just like we protect minors, we must also protect delicate souls and garden variety idiots. A simple quiz could do the trick.

Muse is a neat proof of concept. Glad they’re developing in the wild. It’s fun and cool to play with if you want to kill time (I do, sometimes). But this shit is not ready for prime time if you want a useful agent
Honestly Zuck failed spectacularly on this very basic task. Failed to give me clear instructions to do the CAPTCHA on its behalf. It managed to login without it though on the next attempt, then promptly gave me incorrect information for something right on the page (match time). When I asked again it gave the correct answer.

It failed the CAPTCHA check and I have to do it myself. It failed to tell me it was stuck. I had to micromanage and ask “what’s the hold up?”

Hear me out. I have no issues with post economic. But single guy who is 42, never married has some moral hazard risk, no? (I’m not saying all - as a cohort).
