NAGAAD exists to empower Somaliland women and children in all aspects of their lives. 45 Women’s Rights Organisations in Somaliland formed the Network.
Women’s rights are human rights. Today, Nagaad Network and UN_Women united to break barriers and improve women's access to justice. By strengthening stakeholder collaboration, we are building a fairer, safer legal system for all.

Half of Somaliland’s population—women—remain sidelined in politics. In the 2021 parliamentary elections, not a single woman was elected. The #DooroXildhibaanad campaign supports women aspirants for the 2026 elections and pushes to remove barriers to their leadership.
