First thing I see when I log into these pictures of Prince William on his engagement today is him going over a fence. OK William! Prince William with volunteers participating in a seed collection activity and hears about the progress towards the goal of planting one million trees during his visit to meet representatives from charity Stump Up For Trees, which aims to plant native trees across South Wales, at White Castle Farm.

A small thing from West Sussex this morning. Stella is 94. Every week a volunteer minibus comes to her door and takes her to lunch club at Pulborough village hall, because she can't get there on her own and there's nobody else to take her. That bus has been running since 1976. Fifty years of pensioners driving other pensioners to lunch. Today the Princess of Wales knocked on Stella's door and rode the route with her. Picked up two more passengers along the way, sat on the bus, got off at the village hall, had lunch, thanked the volunteers, and left. That's the whole engagement. No stadium, no ribbon, no red carpet. A bus, three old ladies and a plate of something hot. I'll tell you why it matters. There are thousands of Stellas in this country, in villages where the last proper bus went years ago, and the only reason they see another human face on a Wednesday is that somebody with a minibus licence and a free morning decided they should. Nobody funds it properly. Nobody photographs it. The volunteers are mostly retired themselves. It runs on kindness and diesel, and when the kindness stops, so does the lunch. Catherine has spent her whole public life on this one idea: that people fall apart when nobody comes for them, and hold together when somebody does. She could have said it in a speech. She got on the bus instead. Stella got a lift to lunch today with the future Queen. Next week it'll be Sue or Bob or whoever's rostered, and Stella will get there just the same. That's the point. That's always been the point.

Word had spread in the tiny village of Pulborough that the princess was there this morning and a small group of locals stood outside the village hall as she left. The Princess of Wales shook every hand, FaceTimed a poorly mother, helped a toddler to jump and cooed over a dog!

The princess has now joined the local weekly lunch club at the village hall where she is joining guests to talk about how important community transport is to them.

The Princess of Wales has surprised elderly travellers in Sussex as she joined a volunteer-run community transport association.  She is in Pulborough with the West Sussex Minibus, a vital lifeline for people who cannot easily access public transport due to isolation, mobility issues or financial hardship. She is keen to highlight the role that community transport plays in bringing people together and reducing isolation thanks to a selfless army of volunteers.

Mr. and Mrs. Markle are mentally unstable and when I think they cannot go any lower to get police protection, they prove me wrong. They don’t need to be in the UK, they need to be in a room with padded walls.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have surprised Sir Kevin Sinfield at the end of his third ultramarathon to fundraise for MND research in memory of former teammate Rob Burrow. In emotional scenes in Wakefield, the Prince and Princess watched as Sir Kevin welled up speaking to supporters, and told him he was "so inspiring".  Burrow's three children, Macy, Maya and Jackson were there to watch along with his mother Irene. It came after the royal couple also visited Sinfield and Burrows’ former club @leedsrhinos @mndassoc

Princess Anne, Royal Patron of the @mndassoc, is meeting with the legendary Sir Kevin Sinfield who is running 7 Ultra Marathons in 7 days to raise awareness for MND in memory of his former Leeds Rhinos teammate @Rob7Burrow CBE.

The Princess Royal, as Royal Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, will attend Kevin Sinfield's 7 in 7 Challenge at University of York Athletics Track. The Princess Royal, as President of Carers Trust, will visit Carers Plus Yorkshire to mark its 30th anniversary.

This is one of the things Princess Catherine does so well. She doesn’t just participate, she actually gives attention to the people behind it. For many of them, the challenge represented something deeply personal, and Catherine took the time to hear what it meant to them. Bringing the participants and their families to Windsor gave them a chance to celebrate that achievement together. It’s a small detail, but I think it says a lot about how Catherine approaches these engagements and why they feel so much more personal.

Here's a small story from Windsor Castle that tells you more about the Princess of Wales than any red carpet. In June she climbed the three highest mountains in Britain in a day, on her own, for the hospital that treated her cancer. What nobody saw on the television was who else was on those hills. The Three Peaks is never empty; every weekend it's full of people walking for someone. And on her way up she kept meeting the same ones. There was Ted Haslam, a boy in a wheelchair, being pushed and carried up the mountain by his father Pete and fifteen family and friends, one at a time, raising money for a children's charity called Molly Ollys. She met him more than once on the route. There was Sean McCormick, whom she met right at the start, part of a group walking for a friend's nephew who had just been diagnosed with cancer, the same word she'd heard about herself two years before. She finished her climb at the foot of Yr Wyddfa with William and the children waiting. And then, months later, quietly, she invited those people to Windsor Castle for tea and cake. No press. No speech. A few chairs in a state room and a princess pouring for a boy who'd been carried up a mountain by the people who love him. Her message with it was one line: recovery is rarely a journey we make alone. That's the thing about her. It was never about her climb. She said at the time it was a small way to give something back, and she meant it, but the truer measure is what she did with the people she met on the way up. She noticed them. She remembered their names. She had them to her house. A fortnight of talking about Diana, and it's worth saying plainly: this is what Diana was for. Not the dresses or the interviews. The noticing. Her daughter-in-law does it on mountains now, without a camera in sight, and then serves the tea.

It was a pleasure to welcome other Three Peaks Challenge participants and their families to Windsor Castle. Behind every summit was a personal story of resilience, determination and hope. Listening to their experiences of the challenge and their reasons for taking it on was a powerful reminder that recovery is rarely a journey we make alone, and of the importance of the people who walk alongside us along the way.
