Your ancestors never did strength training.
Sure. But…
They SQUATTED to work on the ground, farm, cook and collect things.
They PUSHED carts, heavy objects,
tools, etc.
They lifted and placed heavy objects OVERHEAD and walked long distances.
They PULLED ropes, drew water from well, rowed, dragged and moved heavy objects.
Your ancestors PICKED up sacks, chopped woods, lifted firewoods.
Your ancestors CARRIED water, food sacks, children.
They milked animals, pulled ropes which improved their GRIP strength.
They walked and worked on uneven terrain, climbed, stepped over obstacles challenging their balance, core and unilateral strength.
Lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and rotations were the movements they performed because their life demanded them.
And modern lifestyles have removed these physical demands.
Hence you need to deliberately train these movements in the gym.
