Here's a little dev update on my moon projects that I'm developing; this particular one is based on future
#Artemis missions.
This is a portion of the Lunar south pole in
#UEFN. It uses real lunar terrain data from a LOLA Digital Elevation Model (LDEM), and through a python script, that data is translated into usable accurate game ready asset.
My previous methods (in Blender) weren't going to get me far. Development on this project has been postponed for months now, and there wasn't a tool out there that had what I needed. So in order to use scientific data for the specific game assets I needed, I compromised and resorted to making a python script, by means of which I'm not too proud of.
That being said, I'm pleased with the results I've got here. This project is a big aspiration, and I envisage good things to come out of it.
With the circumstances as of late, I've been optimistically wary, and practicing some form of personal diplomacy. It's difficult for me to gauge a substantial future with all of this noise & coercion by AI Technocrats and so on. I prefer to pace myself and continue to learn from the contents of a life that I'm still experiencing. With the nature of the world, some aspects are just too wishful and require you to decide what happens next. A topic like this is something I can go one more about, and continue to question, but I want people to understand that you need to have some literacy and continuously question why & where are we going. To quote The Yellow Wallpaper Zine by Kane Parsons, "We are, as a species, parsing wallpaper at an extraordinary scale."
