I’ve got an article in it on attending the Oxford Utd @OUFCOfficial v @QPR 1986 Milk Cup final at Wembley on ‘The Wrong Bus’ with my Dad.
My Dad was a lifelong QPR fan but we went up on the @BBCOxford bus! (But we both supported Oxford too so it was ok)

It’s incredible how much things have gone up by compared to just before the 2020 lockdown. Some things have almost doubled in price since then or gone up by even more. But we’re all expected just to accept it and take it as ‘normal’. This is no doubt what they meant by ‘the new normal’.
I was thinking of buying the @TheEconomist weekly mag this week. Last time I bought a copy I'm sure it was 5.99 a few years ago. Today its £11.99 for a weekly mag!!! Gave it a miss, of course.

Absolutely not. Where would we place our bets on the horses and the football if we couldn’t get to a betting shop? And betting shops these days are not too easy to find in some parts- we lost ours about 15 years ago.

So true. This is the big story yet very few are talking about it. (& some pay packets have actually shrunk & are not even the same as they were a few years ago).
BRITAIN IS BEING PRICED OUT OF EVERYDAY LIFE.
Food. Fuel. Energy. Housing.

We are watching attempts basically to destroy our society- to fragment it to atomise it and leave people (particularly men), adrift living lonely isolated lives. You could call it the Robinson Crusoeification of Society ©️

This is wrong. Everyone except perhaps higher & top rate tax payers ought to be getting help with their energy bills this winter. We’re already in a cost of living crisis with sky high fuel prices & high food prices.

The propaganda about how we need to axe the Triple Lock and massively boost ‘defence’ spending because of ‘the ‘Russian threat’ is off the scale. Basically they want to take from our state pension- which we have contributed to all our working lives to give to arms manufacturers.
All this instead of working for peace.

You’re being kind by calling it ridiculous. I think it’s downright disgusting and irresponsible. I was at Waterloo station on Tuesday and there were banners everywhere promoting the series. “War” was all it said on the banners. The nudge department is in full flow. ☹️
