Herefordshire GP. NIHR In Practice Fellow, Uni of Warwick. Interests in Primary Care Research, History of Medicine and Med Ed

Ahead of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, King Charles visited ‘Veteran Friendly’ Chatfield Health Care in Battersea, London. He met College members Dr Jonathan Leach and Brigadier Robin Simpson, who masterminded the scheme, along with RCGP Chair Prof Kamila Hawthorne, Armed Forces veterans and members of veteran health services and support charities. We’re incredibly grateful to all our Veteran Friendly accredited GP practices who continue to provide dedicated care for those who have served.

A short break from maternity leave to share that our paper on relational continuity for GP registrars is now available! Thank you to all the registrars who contributed. Relational continuity was important, but critical to further analyse the barriers faced shorturl.at/5NutY

I hope you enjoyed the joy of a Monday night without Only Connect. I’m afraid that opportunity won’t be coming your way again for MONTHS. From next Monday, fun’s over.

Good luck to those running the @LondoMarathon partnered by the NSAID voltarol Their Medical advice, based on solid medical evidence says don't take NSAIDS tablets such as ibuprofen and voltarol rapid before endurance races. Voltarol is a gel with a very similar name and ingredients to the prescription only tablets. Gels are definitely less dangerous than tablets - but the risks are unknown. I'm genuinely bemused and confussed about why a brilliant running event would have a partnership with voltarol which might confuse runners and have the potential for unintended consequences?
It’s More than Running, It’s the Voltarol orange bucket hat. Come down to the Voltarol Party Bus on Rainbow Row to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, promoting inclusivity in a fun-packed atmosphere and pick up your free Voltarol bucket hat. Wear it to support on the day come rain or shine!
