Deputy P. Marshall and K9 Vera visited Z1075 this morning to talk about what it's like to work at the Sheriff's Office! During the visit, Deputy Marshall shared her backstory as the first female K9 handler at the agency. As an School Resource Officer with a narcotics dog, she keeps students safe and runs searches with Vera to ensure campuses are free of substances. Master Deputy Pedersen and K-9 Honey took a special visit to Primrose School of North Wilmington where they had an awesome time with the students! The kids had the opportunity to discover how our K-9 teams help keep our community safe. There were plenty of smiles, excitement, and wagging tails! Visits like these are about more than just having fun. They're about building trust, creating positive relationships, and showing our youngest community members that law enforcement is here to help.
