Today, I want to recognize the men and women behind the badge.
The officers who miss holidays, work long nights, run toward danger when everyone else is running away, and carry the weight of things most people will never see.
Every day they answer calls for help, comfort victims, protect their communities, and stand watch over complete strangers. Their job isn't easy, and their sacrifices often go unnoticed.
To every police officer, deputy, state trooper, federal agent, dispatcher, and support staff member: thank you for your service, your courage, and your commitment to keeping others safe.
