A thing I miss about magazines is the centrality of it. One piece of media that showed you cool books, games, anime, movies, new technology all in the same place. It's so easy to miss cool things in this day and age. You are at the mercy of digital slot machine. I miss people having their entire jobs be sorting through things and curating it.

Every single rollout has failed recently. Lab grown meat. Vaccine passports. Digital currencies. Mass surveillance cameras. Meta-verse NFT's Digital Assistants Voice replacing typing Even McDonalds is rolling back their touch screens and focusing on customer interaction again. It feels like the people in charge are surrounded by yes-men or people being stubborn has a lot more power than most believe. AI seems to be on the same route.
