Some people have really showed us who they are this last couple of days. The lack of empathy being peddled by some really has taken me by surprise. Those of us that are lucky enough to be able to renew at short notice can still see how it may affect others.

Always the people who don't buy season tickets or even go to matches that have the most to say about such things... It's easy to be dismissive from your sofa. The timescales being inflicted on loyal supporters are disgusting and no amount. of mental gymnastics changes that.

Finally got down to Slapton Ley to see the damage to the road with my current wife and pooch. In all the years we've lived here I never could've imagined this level of destruction. It doesn't even look real. I have to say though... Being able to walk down the road was wonderful.

The impact on local wildlife, residents and local businesses are going to be impacted once again due to lack of preventative measures being implemented instead of cheap, reactive fixes.
Genuinely heartbreaking.
The line - the road to Torcross just ten minutes away totally destroyed by storms. A beautiful place with the beach on one side and Slapton Ley on the other. Coastal houses and the fab @StartBayInn badly hit. A local tragedy. #Devon
