America’s power grid, water systems, and food infrastructure run on the same aging technology. Many facilities rely on equipment 15 to 20 years old, running software that’s difficult to update and increasingly exposed to the internet. The FBI and CISA have publicly warned that foreign hackers have already been found embedded inside America’s critical infrastructure, not trying to break in, but already inside, quietly mapping systems and waiting.
