I hope everyone enjoyed some quality time with their family & loved ones over the Easter break. Over the weekend I managed to better a record
#Raiding more than 4x my daily E-ther detection from my little test account..I think my team did a good job on the specs for the 1st version - smaller accounts can find some big upside & larger accounts can still manage with a good strategy (though obviously civilians & slotting will help, followed by P2P contracts later).
The
#CAT has more or less completed the review of all
#claims & we're drawing close to the final processing of approvals on the first
#E2PRV initiative!
It is important to note that as I have mentioned in the past, the
#CAT has been extremely generous with approving claims, but it starts to get difficult approving claims where the evidence provided was not only weak but also for a place hundreds of kilometres away or in many cases for a completely different country.
More details will be released in an upcoming announcement, but we cannot completely ignore blind staking & though I imagine more will benefit from it than not, there will always be some losers.
Remember, there was definitely an element of
#collaboration with
#staking, where many
#players collaborated together before a claim was posted. They spent time researching & planning their
#claim +
#staking strategy together, but then other
#Players would take a risk & try to sneak in (myself included) to
#stake those claims before the collaborating group could fill the staking positions.
This was one of many scenarios/strategies, but probably the most prominent which is why I am making a specific reference to it. I know some will say "well, you could have done this" or "you could have done that". Yes, we could have done many things, including allowing groups to prefill staking slots before the claim went public as well, removing any opportunity for people outside the groups to be involved.
At the end of the day, the system we built gave every
#player the same opportunity, even the small
#players & we did try to adjust some things where possible. Nothing in life will be completely fair, though we may try to make it so. With greater risk comes greater reward, but there will always be some losers. The first release of
#E2PRV really was a very unique opportunity, especially given the rewards at stake & many will have benefited greatly from it.
I was in the same position as everyone else & with my very small test account, limited time, hardly any
#Essence & a lot of blind staking, I still managed to grow my
#Essence balance from 4 to 56 before any rejections.
Maybe I got lucky, as many others did, but there were always going to be rejections which had to come at the end due to the fact that even weak, illegitimate claims could be approved if they were lucky enough to fall inside the boundary of a different, successful claim. So we could only process rejections once all approved claims were processed.
Anyway, there are still some approvals awaiting final processing but I just thought I'd share these thoughts before any rejections are processed.
On a closing note, remember during the craziness of
#staking I said there was another incoming reward system that was more slow paced + easier to participate in? And now we have it,
#Raiding + there is more to come.
I also mentioned in the past that over time there will be more & more to do inside of
#Earth2, now we can already see this evolving & we haven't even got started yet..
So as more features roll out,
#Players will constantly be faced with decisions on what they want to focus on as opposed to being able to 'do everything' as we continue working toward
#E2V1 & our other long term goals in the background.
