There are two camps with quite different opinions on $DRAM. Those who have spent the time modeling incremental wafer supply vs. demand growth from server+HBM, and those who have not. If you want to have an informed view on the stocks you must at least try to do that work
I gave the fly brain $100 to trade bitcoin.
Dopamine neurons are stimulated when the fly makes profit. Neuron activity controls buy/sell decisions and makes trades on coinbase.
Will the fly get rich?
Overall, I’m very surprised at how little media coverage there’s been around the OpenAI / Hugging Face attack. It’s clearly one of the most important things to happen this year.
Totally agree here
The point is that too much capital is simply chasing short-term price action, so any poorly written article is enough to shake people’s supposed “long-term conviction”
In this case in particular, even if there were legitimate reasons to be concerned about the numbers of a given AI lab because another player is rapidly taking share, it should be fairly obvious that, from the perspective of compute infrastructure, this would largely amount to a reshuffling exercise
What happens to all the AI compute commitments made by the lab that is losing share? The answer really couldn’t be simpler: either that capacity gets reallocated to the winning AI labs, or the losing lab increasingly turns itself into a hyperscaler and monetizes the excess capacity
Dopamine-addicted, price-action-driven, instant-gratification-seeking W St monkeys really need to be honest with themselves and admit that they’re just chasing prices and stop writing long form “10y bull thesis” when markets are ripping just to capitulate entirely when mkts fall on the back of pure FUD
Fading these extremes on both sides has become an obvious/profitable trade
$QQQ
How to write a sensationalist FUD article that is still technically factually accurate:
- Report on tepid revenue growth from Q1 to Q2
- Oops, neglect to mention that GPT-5.6 Sol was released on July 9 (start of Q3)
Codex usage grew from 5m active users to >15m users since the release of GPT-5.6 Sol (see attached chart from @petergostev).
Perf win of the day: Claude Code CLI now uses 2x less CPU at p99.
Bun's garbage collector was running on a fixed timer, so it would kick in mid-turn and steal CPU right when Claude Code was busiest. Now it waits until the process is idle.
