I went outside for less than 1 hour, and I got myself an El Niño tan!

I took pills that I'm totally NOT allowed to take due to my silly heart. I am walking like an apostle in the 1st century. Hale and hearty. How the week pans out is none of my business (until it is). It's gonna be okay 🥲
Ghaaaaz! 😭 While in the pool this morning I started feeling hot, much like when I woke up this morning neh. I thought the El Niño sun was braaing me through the pool roof. At seven O' clock ante meridiem!!! Okay. That makes no sense. You know why? Because it's fever. It was fever. I have 2 infections 😫 Body for sale Hectically used and almost dead I might pay you to take it.

Carpenter/artist advice needed. I have this coffee table from my grandma's home. Those marks are unsightly. Do I: 1. Sand this down and stain & varnish. Would this ruin it? 2. Stick a contrasting design vinyl? (Because I'm artsy, k 😌) Would this ruin the wood underneath? 3. Make braai wood out of the whole thing? HELP N.B. Your suggestions must take my t-rex tiny hands into consideration. That is: could I do this myself? I can't afford help this month.

A tough week as moving house is showing me flames. I've had my first taste of the infamous water problems of the area. On Wednesday every box was unpacked and things were put in place (if you think I did this work with my own hands you're funny). Walls and fixtures were wiped down (wall plugs get really gross, as do light fixtures) Tomorrow the furniture moves in. The humans too. We can't wait. Work has been taxing too. But right now, at 7h00, it's me time. Swim class starts and I will be thinking about nothing but this left leg that kicks to the side. Shorter rests between lengths. Improving breathing between strokes. For the next hour, nothing else matters.

#NOOZ This Week 23 Oct 26 1. Ebola. Oh how we love to look away from this one. Let's look at the current strain that's spreading faster than previous strains, but still slower than that other plague. Lives lost in 2026: over 4600 Countries with cases: DRC, Kenya, Uganda, France (1) and Nigeria (1) The old vaccine is for a different strain of Ebola, so… 2. In a region of West Bank, Palestine, the current olive harvest is going terribly, violently, if you will. Israeli settlers are moving into farming regions and setting up camp, permanently, but not before shooting up people who already live there. 3. The current super mega ultra scary death-dealing El Niño weather system has fully settled its world tour. KZN will rest from crumbling like a Tennis Biscuit dipped in tea. Instead, it will be a Marie Biscuit in a teething baby's hand. Maize Meal might cost an arm and a leg later on because of the delayed rains. It will be scorching in December. This is an understatement. 4. France and Belgium are experiencing pockets of destructive revolts. Both governments are blaming criminals and social media as the main problem. Apparently people just wake up and decide they're gonna burn things because it's nice to have raging fires and being teargassed by riot police. 5. The finance minister threw morsels at South Africans by promising two months of relief from the fuel levy, about R1.50/l of petrol and R3/l of diesel in Nov. In December you'll pay more. In January… you had better start planting a cabbage patch.

I appreciate a scammer who writes a whole email to me. Not this lazy SMS scamming. I do think that this email could include some promise of unimaginable millions. At least make me dream before scamming me. mncm.

If humans could fly, most of us would still walk. Humans can run, which is a fantastic skill. How many of us do it on the regular?

Didn't get much #NOOZ this week, but I heard that: - You people almost killed Fikile by making him work. - Y'all bullied Trump's new press lady because she was learning to read right in front of us and y'all laughed at her. - And y'all arrested that one guy who dreams above the law while he was definitely NOT trying to run away to Saudi Arabia after skipping the school of Madlanga. He says his doctor ate his homework. Also, where is the president?

Son was possessed by a packing demon last night. He lectured me first, then got to work. I woke up to the whole house packed into boxes except the kitchen because I'm particular about what to take to a new home. Well, I'm going back to bed and waiting for my family to come move these boxes. Where can I go and give away clothes and bed linen directly to people?
Moving house and I love the new place so much that it didn't matter that I have a top loader and the place only has room for an undercounter machine. So I went to a castor wheels place and they're making a wheeled extenstion for my machine. I can move it around as needed. I also found my toolbox. So now I'm fixing things that don't urgently need fixing as much as I urgently need to pack. Oh, evidently I do not wear over 70% of my clothes. So they're all going. I also have a sock and t-shirt obsession. Getting rid of dozens of unworn t-shirts is embarassing. Socks are staying though. I don't like wearing socks, I don't like the feeling on my feet. I just like knowing that I have pretty socks. Moving is taxing. I even feel like cutting all my hair off so that I can breathe. Thank you for visiting my private thoughts.

Such is the colour of my eyes, reflecting a bleeding heart as I came across this plush blanket. It used to be my blankie. One fateful December day in 2024, I wrapped my Lola with it as she was about to spend a night at the vet for the first time ever. And the last time. The last time I looked at those manipulative eyes that hid behind them the softest baby girl to leave paw prints on my heavy heart. To say I miss Lola feels like verbal robbery as there aren't enough words to express the emptiness. Could I just get another dog? Not yet. I tried to throw this blanket away. I cannot. It smells like her.
