New FOI Response from the UK 🇬🇧 Concerning Tesla's FSD (Supervised) approval process.
I asked for:
Correspondence and meetings with RDW
RDW approval material held by VCA
Use of RDW as a Technical Service
Recognition or reliance analysis
Applications and live files / pre-application requests
Any request VCA has made to RDW
Some data is held, but I get the traditional ACCESS DENIED blocker, and apparently the DFT would be at a MAJOR disadvantage if they answer my questions.

EU 🇪🇺 Tesla FSD Update
There is NO VOTE at the upcoming TCMV meeting in the EU with regards to Tesla's FSD Supervised.
We previously reported that the vote would be unlikely at this meeting due to previous similar vote timelines.
The next opportunity will be around 1st December 2026

Every time the EU fails to vote for Tesla FSD Supervised, more people die and are injured on Europe's roads.
6th Oct is the rumoured TCMV vote.
If they don't vote, the next meeting will be ~1 Dec
- About 56 days later.
In that gap, using 2024 data:
~3,060 deaths
~140,000 injury crashes
~176,000 people injured
It is time to vote YES for Tesla FSD (Supervised)

Five years ago today, Tesla added the Request Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta button to US vehicles.
Safety score was also launched.
Before FSD was made available for your vehicle you had to wait 7 days for your safety score to calculate.
It calculated a score out of 100 based on:
Forward collision warnings
Hard braking
Aggressive cornering
Unsafe following
This allowed Tesla to prioritise FSD installs to the safest drivers and to use data from "safe* drivers for further FSD training.

Ireland FSD Update 🇮🇪
We reported new FSD style Tesla jobs in Ireland earlier this month and now Ireland are more engaged that ever regarding an FSD Supervised approval.
Tesla says it is "working with authorities" in Ireland to enable regulatory approval for FSD (Supervised):
"At the start of this week, FSD (Supervised) has received regulatory approval in the Czech Republic. This is now the seventh market in Europe to recognise the transformative potential of FSD (Supervised). Ireland is anticipating the arrival of this transformative technology on Irish roads in due course."
Tesla also says its new car registrations are up 21% year on year in 2026 and the EV maker has now hit a milestone of 15,000 vehicle deliveries in Ireland since entering the market in 2017. irishexaminer.com/business/c…

Did you know that Tesla Autopilot was approved via a "loophole" ?
- The RDW Approved Autopilot in 2015 using UNECE R79 Series 01 but
that regulation wasnt really supposed to support continuous steering - The RDW used a clever interpretation of the regulation to get it approved!
I expect the RDW and Tesla to work on the FSD Supervised regulations in the same way, approving FSD under R171 using clever interpreation of the rules.

Here is what the ministry had to say about yesterday's Tesla FSD Approval in the Czech Republic
Czech Ministry of Transport @min_dopravy :
Tesla FSD Supervised can be used in Czechia under set conditions after recognising the RDW provisional Dutch approval.
Months of expert review and talks with Tesla.
FSD Supervised is usable under set conditions.
Still driver-supervised. Driver watches traffic, ready to take over. Full responsibility remains with the driver.
Tesla Europe now has seven EU national clearances for FSD Supervised.

Remember, every Tesla has the FSD computer, so once FSD is approved you just need a software update over your WiFi
