Over 2,300 years ago, the ancient Greeks figured out the shape of the Earth.
Aristotle didn’t have satellites, telescopes, rockets, or photographs from space. He simply observed the world around him.
Three observations convinced him:
• Ships disappear hull-first over the horizon.
• During a lunar eclipse, Earth’s shadow on the Moon is always round.
• As you travel north or south, different stars become visible while others disappear, and familiar stars change height in the sky.
None of these observations require advanced technology. Anyone can verify them. Taken together, they point to the same conclusion Aristotle reached around 350 BCE: Earth is a sphere.
More than 2,300 years later, every one of those observations remain as an easy way for anyone honest to see the truth.
