2 weeks ago I stopped forcing things with my business. I realized I was making a lot of decisions from a place of fear. i cant tell u how many REALLY good things have happened for my business since then. Legitimately some of these outcomes I've been praying about for 3+ years. Just happened like BAP, that was easy. I'm doing what I want VS. what I "should".... Put another way, having an internal instead of external external locus of control.

10 years ago I was very worried about the skills I lacked such as: - software engineering - interviewing at deloitte - networking with suits who peaked in college funny how I later made money from the traits I already had: - niché and obscure taste in cultural artifacts - strong intuition if a trend was on it's way out - thrill-seeking behavior - willingess to risk it all and entry-level SWEs and consultants are trying to become taste-makers + gamblers

a key step in my journey as a speculator was realizing that often I need to completely cutoff from consuming the tweets and telegram messages of others. In fact my most profitable months are really on some Rick Rubin shit, zenned out journaling my decisions, meditating asking God for help, and tabbing manically between DefiLlama + TradingView. I realized that hearing others' trades was valuable for understanding positioning, but not for the trades themselves. I realized that another man's strategy is not my strategy, so I couldn't even size into the same trade. Fear Of Missing Out does ceases to exist in this headspace

with cars, jewelry, my house, my vintage tee hobby, whenever I'm buying these material things.. I rarely negotiate. I only negotiate when it feels right to negotiate in that moment with that person. And this isn't a selfless, charitable trait... It's actually very selfish. I like to spend money with businesses where I'm getting surplus consumer value. And if I'm getting value, I want you to stay in business. I actually want you to make so much money and expand in whatever way you want. I probably want you to be around forever because your business makes my life better. Sometimes I feel that certain stores want you to negotiate. In those rare cases, I will negotiate since it seems right in that moment. But this philosophy has served me well. I'd rather be open to the things we'll both achieve in the future than tryna save a couple dollars in the short-term. It rarely seems right to me. TLDR: Bet More, Spend More (if and when your true self wants to)

If it feels extremely difficult for you to meditate, your brain is likely so full of energy that you will experience very profound improvements from a meditative practice. Consider yourself lucky.

Part of my edge in crypto specifically is being able to spend 0 minutes trading for months and then at the blink of an eye, spend 12 hours a day in tradingview, manically writing notes while taking big risks and looking for what others don't see (yet). It's less about when the market is "good", but when my inner self is "good". And by "good" I mean peaceful. When I'm at peace I don't chase, I don't force trades. I take big swings that tend to make me just enough money to pay for just what I need at the time.

You know how there are books you read, where you feel like you already knew the idea? The idea was in your brain, but it was hidden deep within, waiting to be uncovered? The few books that have had significant changes in my life have felt this way. Why is that? It's because they tell you things about yourself that are universal. God made you that way. Call it whatever you want, but intuitively you know there is a creator, a reason you have an inner dialogue. Here's what's crazy: all the times you felt self doubt, beat yourself up, spiraled in negative thought loops... you ended up right where you are now. You figured it out. You learned what you were supposed to, you felt the emotions you were supposed to feel. You met the people, you lost the job, you ended a relationship, to make you the way you are right this second. A person capable of adapting and becoming someone creative + loving, whatever version of you that set your focus on. Whatever question is right in front of you, you already know how to deal with it. And you dont need to deal with the questions of tomorrow, when they come, you will have the answers. If you just pause, breathe, and notice that your thoughts are only thoughts for a moment, you can discern which thoughts are coming from the loving, infinite part of you within. The part of you that is God-like. The part that wants to be like Him. I only really started to understand this by studying ancient texts. The texts that have survived the decay of time in an uncanny way. If you note which parts they have in common, you will find universal truths about every big question in life. These core ideas are written in different languages, about different topics, from different perspectives throughout time. They steadily advance as time marches on.

For me, my spirituality fully clicked the day I really understood who Jesus was. But I know Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, etc. friends that I can see CLEARLY know an infinite Creator. They live by similar morals, they love their neighbors, they have self-respect and are accountable to their actions. Neither of my parents are Christian. I was raised by a hippie mom. My parents met in a yoga class, and my mom used to take us to a church called the SRF (Self-Realization Fellowship). It was founded by a man named Paramahansa Yogananda. --- Yogananda taught that Jesus became “the Christ” by fully realizing his unity with God. In Yogananda’s view, he was a divine incarnation who came to help humanity awaken. Yogananda viewed that the "Christ Consciousness" was not limited to Jesus. He taught that Krishna, Buddha, and others manifested Christ Consciousness, and every person has the potential to realize it through spiritual practice. --- Today, my story is that I was required to understand Jesus Christ to know God in his infinite, creative capacity. However, my life story makes it clear to me that in religious conflicts, my purpose is to come from common grounds and the similarities between religion instead of the differences. If the right path is that everyone must know Christ, I'm confident that coming from a place of love and common ground is where I share Christ in the most genuine way. But I am just a floating offwhite circle on the internet. The grand responsibility of knowing what is right for all of humanity is above my pay-grade at this point. I'm still addicted to a nicotine vape for goddsake. One love - Shake
