ODD CATS Protocol Update
The ODD CATS staking protocol is a success and is now working exactly as intended.
1,200 / 3,813 Cats are currently staked.
501 / 953 Serums have been mined — 52.57% of the entire Serum supply.
Serums started at just 10 Hash. Today, a Serum costs 1,140 Hash. At the base rate of 10 Hash per day, a single Cat would now need 114 days to mine enough Hash for one Serum.
There are only 452 Serums left to mine.
We've seen some people upset about the rising cost, but this is the experiment working as designed. We created the infrastructure and rules, and now the protocol runs within those rules.
Just like Bitcoin, early participants had an advantage. As more Serums are mined, the difficulty continues to increase. If you want to compete for the remaining supply, you need more mining power — or you can acquire a Serum on secondary.
We don't plan on changing the rules because things are getting harder. Getting harder is the point.
Thank you to everyone participating in the experiment. We're just getting started, and we'll be doing more fun activities for Cats this week.

Good day Cats, we're alive.
First, we owe you an apology for the lack of communication on our side. It's been a rough few weeks of building, and we made the mistake of thinking there was no point in posting updates until things were actually ready to ship.
Tomorrow that changes.
A few updates coming tomorrow:
- Enforced royalties removed — now optional
- Royalties reduced from 8% → 4%
- Bulk transfers enabled — important for the protocol
- Redesigned ODD CATS website
- Exclusive dApps for ODD CATS holders
