Black student-athletes went to a volleyball game to compete, not to endure alleged racial slurs, chants, and degrading gestures from the stands. We cannot allow racism to rob young athletes of the joy of simply playing the sport they love.

Some info for context: ▪️PFF no longer controls the grades they're selling. Teamworks owns/controls those. PFF just licenses them to keep selling them to you. ▪️Neither of these guys has graded a game or really fully understands the PFF grading system. Most of the people who do don't work there anymore. They don't have anyone left who can explain the grades publicly. "Triple negative" ? ▪️The biggest problem with the grades remains, imo, the translation to the 0-100 scale. It warps the raw grade to try to manipulate it onto a closed scale because some people believed that accessibility was more important than accuracy. Guess who pushed that. ▪️As a former PFF grader, I also disagree with the raw grade in this case, especially on the 2 biggest plays (The negated INT and the Kmet TD.) 'Fix' those 2 grades and you get a lot closer to consensus opinion.

Matt Suhey passed away yesterday. He was my dad’s closest friend. After we lost my dad in 1999, Matt became the biggest father figure I had. When everything felt uncertain, he was there. My dad left him in charge and Matt never let that responsibility sit lightly. He protected our family. He looked after us. He made sure we were okay, year after year, without ever making it about himself. That is who he was. Their friendship showed me what real friendship looks like. Not the easy kind. The kind that lasts when the lights go off, when the stadium is empty, when life gets heavy. Brian’s Song told the story of Piccolo and Sayers. Somebody needs to tell the story of 34 and 26. Two men who trusted each other completely. Two men who became brothers. I know @walterpayton was standing there waiting for him the second he got to heaven. I can see it. That smile. That hug. That reunion they both deserved. Our family is so thankful for the love he showed us over the years.
