At the end of every basement interview, I break down the conversation. I address big claims and tell you what I could prove and what I couldn't.
I push back gently during the conversation but rarely. It's a storytelling show. I want to hear the story. Not interested in debating. Analysis at the end.
Why has @OMGTheWhyFiles done such a huge 180 lately? What happened to "There's always a book" and "DOPSR approved whistleblowers"? Hardly any, if any pushback at all.

Replying publicly intentionally. Aidan, you sound great. Intelligent, informed and kind. But my show is not about debates or "setting the record straight". I provide some counter-arguments at the end, but what you believe is up to you. I've been clear that I don't believe in Bigfoot. But the stories are fun. That's the point.
The Basement is a storytelling show - not a news show. I don't believe a lot of the stories, but I enjoy them. My audience is intelligent enough to do their own research.

Hey AJ, that was me. I am a Why Files fan. I’ve watched the channel for years. That’s part of the reason I took a softer approach to critiquing your statements than I did David (whom I used to be a fan of).
I also reached out through your website suggesting you might have me or Nick from @MissingEnigma on to provide an alternate perspective on the Missing 411 aspects of Dave’s work.
I honestly just want to set the record straight. Paulides has created a fiction surrounding these cases and insults the memory of the people whose names he profits off of.

Totally agree. Clips channel launching very soon so you can watch your favorite guests and topics without sitting through the whole thing. That's how I consume podcasts. I can't be the only one.
Ok @OMGTheWhyFiles The Basement is starting to grow on me, but it is intimidating to see an hour plus long episode staring at you, nonetheless as long as interviewee is interesting it’s alright
