Every single summer you will still find people in our replies making excuses for this front office, every single day
"Well maybe"
"Can't buy a house that's not for sale"
"It takes two to make a trade"
"Just be patient"
Genuinely take that in for a second
By far the most naive fanbase in sports, part of the reason we're so ridiculed nationwide
The Lakers decided to pick up Dalton Knechtβs $4.2 million team option for 2026-27 last October, assuming at the very least they would be able to trade him. After trying for a year, they obviously found no takers and now will keep his dead money on their books for the upcoming season if he is not claimed on waivers (he wonβt be). Poor asset management has become a theme for this front office over the years.
