A woman was stopped on a traffic stop & as the officer was going to the car she placed her handgun on the dash. Her intention was to be courteous. It however resulted in a very stressful few seconds for all involved. Please don't ever do that. If u want to be courteous & tell the officer there is a weapon in the car that is fine. But DO NOT put your hands on the firearm at any point unless u are directed to do so (which I seriously doubt you will).👮‍♂️

The world has made us all too busy. Even for each other. Even for family. That's a sad reality.

Actual Call: A woman calls 911 due to a domestic with her boyfriend. Both of them are on the apartment lease. The male locked the woman out of the apartment & her key was inside. He came out of the apartment to speak with us & locked the door behind him. I told him to let the woman inside to get her stuff & he said he'd let her in but neither me nor my partner could enter without a warrant. My partner asked the woman if she wanted him to step in with her & she said yes. My partner went in & the man started screaming we violated his rights by going in. After going inside, in plain view, were illegal drugs sitting on top of his wallet along with a firearm. A check of the serial number showed the gun was stolen. The man was taken into custody & he repeatedly stated we had no right in his house because we had no warrant. You give your thoughts on this. Did we have a right to enter the home & was charging him with the drugs & stolen gun legal?👮‍♂️🚔
