I finally read "Last Stand of the Wreckers" (by Roberts and Roche), after having put it off for many years. And yes, it is quite as good as advertised. And as brutal, and sad. It's really excellent, but I found it quite emotionally draining, to be honest. Yeah.

And some of these butthurt individuals complain that using, say, Salishan languages on signs constitutes "virtue signalling" (that most silly of concepts). And I'm like: "If it makes 2 people think 2 steps further about how languages and scripts actually work, then SIGNAL AWAY!"

Semantically funny closed-captioning error on Agents of SHIELD S5E17 - "before the door gives in" rendered as "before the door gives out". I mean, in context, both make sense!
