It’s time for my weekly rant about what people consume, share, and believe on social media.
I block accounts like JoJo and Brooklyn Dad because all they do is post clickbait. I don’t believe they even believe the nonsense they’re posting.
Maybe they get marching orders. Maybe they get a script. I don’t know and I don’t care.
What I do know is that I’m not going to help them generate money from outrage and nonsense.
The same goes for Candace Owens. I used to like her, but she went completely off the rails a few years ago and I haven’t seen her content since.
I didn’t even block her. She’s just not in my bubble anymore because I don’t interact with it. I don’t share it. I don’t screenshot it. I just scroll past.
Why? Because I’m not interested in helping generate money for that either.
Now I’ve added Megyn Kelly to that list. Which is disappointing, but she’s been drifting that way for a while, so at least the truth is clear now.
Here’s the part people need to understand:
There are a lot of accounts posting things specifically designed to make you angry. They want you to comment, repost, quote-tweet, screenshot, argue.
Every one of those things drives traffic.
And traffic = money.
You actually have the power here. You just have to be a little less impulsive.
Stop sharing content that’s designed to enrage people.
The only thing it accomplishes is keeping everyone divided, angry, scared, and stuck.
If something looks questionable, run it through
@Grok before sharing it.
And for the love of Pete, stop spreading outrage bait just because it made you mad.
We can do better than that.
Share things that are true.
Share things that teach.
Share things that uplift.
Let’s raise the bar instead of lowering it.
Thanks for coming to my Red Talk.
