▪️He spearheaded the attack during the historic 1988–89 campaign, where Norwich led the top flight for long stretches before finishing 4th in the First Division and reaching the FA Cup semi-finals.
▪️ After driving the club to another FA Cup semi-final, he was voted Norwich's Barry Butler Memorial Trophy (Player of the Season) winner in 1992.
In the summer of 1992, just before the inaugural Premier League campaign, he forced a £2.1 million club-record transfer to Chelsea by refusing to play. The move to Stamford Bridge ultimately proved unsuccessful.
The Return (1995–1998)
After his difficult period in London, Fleck returned to a relegated Norwich side in September 1995 for £750,000. He spent three more years helping the club transition in the second tier, scoring 12 goals in his initial return season, before injuries slowed his impact and led to his departure to Reading in 1998
