Jesus did not simply ask people what they believed and then affirm every answer. He challenged them. But He did more than challenge their conclusions. Jesus repeatedly took people back to what God had already revealed. He asked questions like, “Have you not read?” and “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” That should challenge us today. It is not enough to say, “My church teaches this,” “My pastor said this,” “My family has always believed this,” or “This is how I feel.” The question is, what does Scripture actually say? Truth is not determined by tradition, popularity, feelings, or religious authority. God has spoken, and every belief we hold should be willing to stand before His Word. Read Scripture. Study it in context. Test what you have been taught. And above everything, listen to Jesus Christ. “He said to him, ‘What is written in the law? The Narcissism in Marian Apparition Messages Should Be a Massive Red Flag When an alleged apparition repeatedly shows up talking about herself, her heart, devotion to her, consecration to her, offenses committed against her, reparation made to her, her protection, and her role in bringing peace, Christians should recognize the glaring problem. The messages are narcissistic. Compare that with Mary in Scripture. Biblical Mary does not travel around demanding devotion to herself. She does not establish devotion to her heart. She does not command Christians to consecrate themselves to her. She does not present herself as the refuge sinners should run to. She points to Jesus. And that is exactly why these apparitions should be tested rather than automatically believed because something supernatural supposedly happened. If an apparition calling itself Mary continually magnifies Mary, Christians should ask whether they are actually hearing from the humble servant described in Scripture. “His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.’” John 2:5 Follow her biblical advice. Paul made a powerful statement. He could say he had not held back from declaring the whole counsel of God. How many of us could say the same? It is easy to speak about the parts of Scripture people like. It is harder to talk about sin, judgment, repentance, false doctrine, hell, and the exclusive claims of Jesus Christ. But loving people means telling them the truth. We are not called to make the Gospel more comfortable. We are called to faithfully proclaim Christ. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Forgiveness and eternal life are offered to everyone who believes in Him. We cannot force anyone to believe. But we can make sure they have heard the truth. Do not be ashamed. Do not water it down. Declare the whole counsel of God and point people to Jesus. “Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. In the United States, federal law protects bald eagle eggs. Under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, unlawfully taking or destroying protected eagles, nests, or eggs can bring serious criminal penalties. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service states that a first offense can carry up to a $100,000 fine and one year in prison for an individual. Why protect the egg? Because what is developing inside matters. An eagle embryo is biologically an eagle. And an unborn human is biologically human. Human life has even greater significance because Scripture teaches that mankind is uniquely created in the image of God. Our value does not begin when we become independent, wanted, convenient, or capable of speaking for ourselves. Every human life bears tremendous value because human beings are made by God. Protect the vulnerable. Love mothers. Love children. The ongoing clash between Bible teacher @MikeWingerii and worship leader @seanfeucht reportedly reached a theological breaking point this week after Winger asked for documentation and Feucht responded by turning the worship music up another 40 percent. The dispute has centered on Winger’s public criticism of Feucht and questions surrounding ministry conduct, finances, and accountability, while Feucht has publicly pushed back against Winger’s criticisms. “Could we carefully examine the evidence and compare these claims with Scripture?” Winger asked. Feucht reportedly stared at him for several seconds before somebody in the background started playing a spontaneous bridge. Witnesses say Winger then produced a folder containing screenshots, timelines, archived statements, financial questions, seventeen browser tabs, and a four hour video he described as “just some preliminary thoughts.” Feucht countered by producing a guitar. The crowd immediately realized they were witnessing two completely different "spiritual gifts". Things became increasingly tense when Winger asked whether Christian leaders should welcome biblical accountability rather than treating criticism as persecution. Sources say a smoke machine activated before the question could be answered. Someone then opened Proverbs 12:17. “He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit.” Proverbs 12:17 Witnesses say Winger immediately began explaining the Hebrew for 38 minutes while Feucht announced another outdoor worship event. At press time, Winger was uploading a six-hour response titled “I Really Tried To Make This Short,” while Feucht had already blocked the video, organized a worship rally outside Winger’s house, and released a live album about spiritual warfare.

Most people would probably answer yes. We compare ourselves to other people and think, “I have never done anything that bad.” But the real question is not whether we are good compared to someone else. The question is whether we are good according to God’s perfect standard. Scripture tells us that every one of us has sinned. Our good deeds cannot erase our guilt, and religion cannot make us righteous before God. That is exactly why we need Jesus Christ. The Gospel is not about good people earning heaven. It is about guilty sinners being saved by grace through faith in the Savior who died for our sins and rose again. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 So ask yourself honestly: Are you a good person according to God’s standard? Jesus warned about practicing our faith for the approval of other people. Fasting can be a meaningful act of devotion to God, but even something spiritual can become prideful when our real goal is being noticed. That principle goes far beyond fasting. We can pray to impress people. We can serve so others notice. We can post Scripture to appear spiritual. We can even defend biblical truth because we enjoy recognition more than we love Christ. Jesus cares about the heart behind what we do. The question is not simply, “Do people think I am faithful?” The question is, “Am I genuinely seeking Jesus when nobody is watching?” Do not perform Christianity for an audience. Walk with Christ because you love Him. “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting.
