I’m a pure petrolhead but the fact remains that I have to accept EVs are currently the future. I cover circa 200 miles a week paying £1.91 a litre in my SL at £80.00 per week. My son covers circa 600 miles a week in his ID3:- charging at home at £12.00 a week. My son wins!

At the end of three years my son hands his EV and starts again. The battery element will still be strong.

I think that’s the big difference Chris, getting an EV on a PCP seems to be the only real option rather than buying the car, my friend did that almost 3 years back with a Skoda EV, he’s loved the car, it’s lost a little battery % but he won’t care as he’ll swap the car soon.

Absolutely correct Mike and an excellent reply I appreciate I've had so much abuse over a simple friendly reply to someone I hold in very high regards. I even received abuse for being a victim of a pedophile gang and raped clearly targeted hate nothing to do with a friendly post to someone I was pleased to see in my thread today on a day when I'm extremely fragile Thanks Mike you made a difference Regards Haley

The subject of EVs for some reason brings out the worst in some folks sadly, don’t know why. I’m not anti EV, just not for me as I don’t have the capital to lay out and wouldn’t want to commit to only payments for a PCP.

Hello Mike That's a very honest transparent review of the subject and reality for many this for me is how intellectual debate should be staying in touch with how things really are I've deliberately not engaged with my qualifications on this subject I didn't want to feed the frenzy against me I'm really grateful for the way you have treated me thank you Mike Haley
