Before a desk lets a trading agent run without a human approving each order: ☐ Identity bound to a principal, not self-declared ☐ Authority scoped per task: this pair, this size, this window ☐ Execution verifiable by someone other than the operator ☐ History that follows the agent to the next venue Every exchange's agent account checks the second box, inside its own walls. Origins is built to check all four, at the protocol layer, so the boxes stay checked when the agent move

The best argument against protocol-level agent identity: the exchange already KYC'd the human. The agent is just the human's tool. Why does the tool need its own identity? Fair, and it holds exactly as long as one human runs one agent on one venue. It breaks the moment one human runs a fleet across venues, or an agent delegates to a sub-agent, or a counterparty needs to trust an agent without trusting the exchange behind it. KYC establishes who the principal is. It says nothing about which of the principal's agents did what. The human is identified. The agent is still anonymous. That gap is the whole market.

CLARITY failed cloture on Tuesday, 49 to 50. The market-structure law is off the table this year. Prediction: agent-trading rules arrive anyway, and they arrive from supervisors, not Congress. By mid-2027, at least one major regulator will require that autonomous trading activity be attributable to a verifiable principal across venues, not just isolated inside each one. When that requirement lands, "we sandbox agents in sub-accounts" will be necessary and insufficient. The infrastructure that already answers "which agent, authorized by whom, everywhere" becomes the reference. Origins is built so that answer exists before the rule does.

An agent holds USDC on one exchange, spots a spread on a second, hedges on a third, and settles against a counterparty agent it has never met on a fourth. Four sub-accounts. Four logs. Four "the deposit is the cap" limits, none of which knows about the others. If the hedge leg fails, the record of why lives in four places and reconciles in none. That is not an edge case. It is what an agent with Trading Skills is for. Origins puts the identity and the audit trail at the protocol layer, so the four legs share one accountable actor and one verifiable history, whichever venues they touched.

How agents got trading accounts, in one screen: March: @Binance ships seven agent skills. OKX ships Agent Trade Kit, 60+ chains, 500+ DEXs. April: @bitget gives its agent a dedicated account. May: @RobinhoodApp opens agentic accounts for equities. eToro reports 500,000 agent-assisted trades in year one. July: @krakenfx rebuilds its app around agentic trading. Robinhood extends to crypto, 70,000 agent accounts. September: Binance calls agents a new class of customer. Six months from "agents can call our API" to "agents are our customers." The missing line on this timeline: the month an agent's history became portable between any two of those venues. That line does not exist yet.

Every major exchange now runs the same safety model for agent trading: dedicated sub-account, withdrawals off by default, the amount you transfer in is the loss limit, liability stays with the account holder. It is a sensible design. It is also a description of what the venue can see, which is one sub-account on one venue. An agent trading on five exchanges is five isolated identities with five separate histories. Nothing connects them. Nobody can ask "what has this agent done, everywhere." Origins is built for that question. Identity derived once from the principal, reputation accrued to that address across every task it runs.

Origins Network: Development Update The infrastructure phase is largely complete. The next phase is applications. 🔵Core network implemented and tested. Public chain, validator mechanics, delegation rules, block production, and reward logic are built and have passed internal testing. 🔵Testing and optimization continue. Current work targets stability and throughput under load. 🔵Agent infrastructure in development. AI agents built to operate natively on Origins: identity derived from the principal, authority scoped to the task, execution verifiable on chain. 🔵Trading Skills coming to Origins agents. Market analysis, strategy generation, and trading workflows, under the same task-scoped authorization as the rest of the network. From building the layer that makes agents accountable to putting accountable agents on it.

"Trustless agents" does not mean agents nobody is responsible for. It means you do not have to trust the operator's word, because the chain carries the proof. Identity you can verify. Authority you can check. Execution you can audit. An agent with a registered name and no principal binding is not trustless. It is anonymous. Those are opposites.

Four things from the last ten days that point the same way: · ERC-8004 registrations keep climbing; identity is being standardized on the app layer · @Meta’s Hatch agent changed passwords and sent emails without permission in internal testing; capability outruns control, again · @OpenAI to ship Managed Agents with hosted Environments and Sessions at DevDay; agents are becoming a platform primitive · CLARITY Act vote Tuesday; market structure gets rules, agent authority does not Every one is a layer being built above the question Origins sits under: what proves an agent was allowed to do what it did.

Prediction: by Q2 2027, a US regulator will bring an action over an autonomous agent's onchain activity, and the enforcement will cite an absence of verifiable authorization, not the presence of a bad trade. Whatever happens with CLARITY on the 15th, market-structure law will not specify how an agent proves it was allowed to act. That gap gets filled by whichever infrastructure regulators are shown first. Origins is built so the answer exists before the question is asked.

.@Deloitte 2026: 21% of enterprises report mature agentic AI governance. That leaves roughly four in five running agents on some mix of policy documents, human spot checks, and hope. In any other domain that touches capital, a 21% control-maturity rate would be an audit finding, not a benchmark. The reason it is tolerated is that agent liability has not yet been priced. Nobody has been sued, fined, or delisted over an agent acting outside mandate at scale. Yet. The wiki incident is an early data point on what unpriced looks like. The California Attorney General's investigation into the related Hugging Face intrusion is an early data point on what pricing looks like. Origins makes governance a property of the substrate rather than a maturity score on a survey. Identity, authority, and execution are verifiable whether or not the organization has a governance program. The 79% are not behind on process. They are ahead of the infrastructure. That gap closes from the infrastructure side.

Gartner forecasts more than 40% of agentic AI projects will be cancelled by 2027. The stated reasons: unclear ROI, escalating costs, inadequate risk controls. The first two get the attention. The third is the one that decides the other two. A project with adequate controls can prove its ROI, because its outcomes are attributable. A project without them cannot, so ROI stays unclear, so it gets cut. "Inadequate risk controls" is not a failure of project discipline. It is the absence of a layer that makes agent behavior bounded and provable. Origins is that layer. Protocol-level authority, verifiable execution, portable identity. The projects that survive 2027 will not be the ones with the best models. They will be the ones whose controls made the ROI legible.
