Behind every data point is a person. Behind every classroom is a teacher shaping Nigeria’s future. This Teachers’ Day, we shine a light on “The People Behind the Numbers.” •39.8M learners • 1,185,610 teachers • 230,844 schools • 725,778 classrooms • 604,479 toilets With a learner-teacher ratio of 33.6:1, slightly better than the UBE standard of 35:1, the numbers also remind us of the infrastructure and support our education system still needs. To every Nigerian teacher showing up, teaching, inspiring and building the nation, thank you. #TeachersDay2026 #EducationData #OrodataScience #NigeriaTeachers #DataForGood
