THIS IS NO LONGER A PROTEST. THIS IS AN UPRISING. AN INSURRECTION AGAINST PUBLIC ORDER.
Masked mobs smashing their way into public buildings. Fires consuming historic landmarks. Looting, clashes and hundreds of arrests.
A 143-year-old town hall in Limoges, part of France’s heritage, reportedly lies devastated by flames.
HOW MUCH MORE MUST BE DESTROYED BEFORE AUTHORITIES TAKE DECISIVE ACTION?
The right to protest is fundamental. The right to burn buildings, terrorize communities and destroy a nation's heritage does not exist.
This is not legitimate dissent. Those who commit arson, assault others and loot must be identified, arrested and prosecuted. No excuses. No impunity.
The government must address the cost-of-living crisis—but it must also fulfill its most basic responsibility: protecting the public, preserving order and upholding the law.
A nation cannot allow mobs to dictate the law of the streets. France must stand firm. Restore order. Arrest the perpetrators. Protect the Republic.
