February 2014. Maidan Square, Kyiv. John McCain filming the protests, standing shoulder to shoulder with US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, while Victoria Nuland stands just behind them. A striking snapshot of Washington’s direct involvement in Ukraine’s political upheaval. The same officials who spoke so confidently about democracy were right there amid the turmoil surrounding the removal of a democratically elected president. This raises an uncomfortable question: was this truly about defending Ukrainian democracy, or about Washington advancing its own geopolitical agenda at Ukraine’s expense?

I don't know if this is true, but it needs lower bond yields, less risk, lower inflation, a settlement of Iran/Ukraine wars and lower $....some or all of that!
MORGAN STANLEY SAYS U.S. STOCK SELLOFF MAY BE NEARING ITS END Morgan Stanley strategist Michael Wilson says investors should prepare to buy the dip as the three-month equity correction approaches its final stages. 🔸 Quality stocks: +6% since mid-August 🔸 Equal-weight S&P 500: Nearly -4% 🔸 Cyclical stocks: Nearly -10% Historically, quality stocks have outperformed by 7.5% over the following year under similar conditions. The key takeaway: Wilson expects the correction to create buying opportunities rather than signal the end of the economic cycle.

Government are acting like Cocaine dealers now.....buy Diesel Cars for better mileage they are environmentally friendlier....slaps massive tax on Diesel! Buy EVs they are better for environment.....slaps massive tax on EVs!
The new electric Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) fee will see electric cars charged 3p per mile to use the road from April 2028, with plug-in hybrids paying 1.5p per mile. And that's just to start. Guaranteed that will go up significantly with every budget. Don't you just love being taxed out of existance!?

We just constantly seem to have someone in Government doing anything they possibly can to hit the collective heads of every farmer in the UK against a wall repeatedly for no reason other than nobody in charge seems to be aware of the implications!

News: JPM Coin (JPMD), @jpmorgan's USD deposit token, is now live on @ethereum. JPMD extends from Base to Ethereum L1, giving institutional clients native onchain cash that sits alongside the assets, collateral and counterparties they transact with already. J.P. Morgan has now added a cash leg to the products it already live on Ethereum mainnet, with tokenized money market funds MONY and JLTXX both already on the network. Ethereum is the home of onchain finance.

The Guardian 12 years ago actually carried an article stating that we were being dragged into war in #Ukraine. So why have so many liberals fallen for the NATO propaganda? Wake up, people, before it's too late! theguardian.com/commentisfre…

This is the thesis put forward by legendary American diplomat (and architect of the Containment Strategy of the USSR) George Kennan all the way back in the 90s (well before Putin ever came to office). With the benefit of hindsight, it's clear that Kennan was absolutely correct.

Standard barriers to entry and monopoly development 👇 Smart take here!
I've been critical in the past of AI compute indexes and the willingness to price compute based on the spot rental price, but now that the AI reset is sinking into the repricing of AI buildout debt its time to realize that the cost of capital is what determines the price of compute. The most important number in GPU pricing right now isn't $/GPU-hour. It's the gap between what a hyperscaler pays to borrow (~90bp over Treasuries) and what a neocloud pays (~1,100bp). The cost of compute is now set by the cost of capital, and the spot rental rate no longer tells you much. The price of an H100 isn't one number. The same chip in the same rack costs a different amount depending on whose balance sheet it sits on. A ~1,000bp funding gap is a structural cost advantage that no amount of operating skill closes. For example, take one GPU-hour apart. Most of it isn't power or space. It's paying back the chip, the interest on the loan that bought it, and the return the equity expects. A $40–55k all-in GPU, 75% debt-funded, at ~7,000 utilized hours a year is a financing instrument that happens to do matrix multiplication. As the +500bp on neocloud debt (10%→15%) adds $0.20–0.30 to the break-even cost of every GPU-hour, which is then added on to the rental price. That's 8–10% of the H100 index, from a credit spread alone, driven almost entirely by the cost of capital. That means that the compute spot index is a derivative of the AI infra debt credit curve and the squeeze on neocloud margins.

France is now a cautionary tale for Britain!

We must not minimise the issues ….. while spending 30 minutes on a buzzword speech hitting all the usual platitudes!
NOW - Macron addresses the nation, calling for order and says that the youth of France are "expressing great anguish and concern about the future... we need to pay heed to what they are saying and we must not minimise the hardships that they are facing."

For background on the disgraceful actions of MoD, Trolley and Wally and Starmer et al, the whole stinking crew of SW1 NPCs, watch Jaycal on Shawn Ryan show. Our government is much more dangerous than ‘Putin’, our own MPs and officials are driving the country into crisis, security and financial and spiritual and constitutional. The stinking Tories supported the worst lawyers in Whitehall never forget that. Which is a reason you never see Kemi-kasi campaign on this issue. They’ll all babble ‘Slava Ukraine prepare for war with Russia’ to distract from their deliberate undermining of our own borders and importing of jihadis. This country needs to focus on reversing the vandalising of our own forces by our own rancid political parties, not babbling Slava Ukraine about a moronic war the useless NPCs keep escalating - a war between two KGB-mafia networks we stumbled ignorantly and foolishly into because the west’s political class were programmed by university to be clowns. youtu.be/nuu3ShNddKA?si=R2dj…
The murder inquiry outlasted the premierships of Johnson, Truss, Sunak, Starmer so Qs not limited to one PM or party — as for the current administration, @wesstreeting confirmed last night he will *not* meet the SAS men involved or their lawyers. Per sources, this is because some have submitted complaints to military police. I assume this reflects the fact defence secretary also oversees military law enforcement — a tension that apparently meant the MoD was unable to give any meaningful comment or view on the whole affair. That includes SAS men sent out of helicopters into nighttime battle against ISIS 48 hours after police interviews, and having homes raided and murder allegation raised before families.
