thoughts and analysis on CU football

Believe me or not, I don’t care. But if they can keep BELIEF inside the building, this season is far from over.

CU’s offensive line can wear down teams and win games if they’re given a chance:

About 3/4 through the offensive film vs Tech… I STILL CAN’T GIVE UP ON THE CU OFFENSE Not even faking optimism, they continue to be so close but I’m sick of it just not working 🫩

I can tell Marion understands what each opponent is doing. He just has to simplify things, grind for yards, and wear down teams. The more trick plays with a ton of movement haven’t worked enough + sometimes get blown up or lead to penalties that set the whole drive behind

Can we pls have perspective. This team is 2-3 not 0-5. They’ve lost to 3 teams who have a combined record of 12-2 Baylor and Tech are at the top of the Big 12 and NW is 3-1 with their only loss coming from the defending national champions. A game which they had a chance to win.

RT @OverthinkBuffs: @1loudpac I don’t think he’s meaning to be selfish, just trying everything he can to make this offense click and he’s o…

Please watch this video, THIS IS WHY CU NEEDS to stick to the run game:
Coach Prime still doesn’t get it. It’s not a QB problem, they have the WRONG IDENTITY. This is by far the biggest problem:

@BrennanMarion4 please lock in and get in your run game BAG. I understand the pressure that’s on you rn, wearing down defenses is how yall will start to dominate. Imagine going h2h with Chauncey and this OL 35x a game, tackling Micah, Damien, Jaquail, Richard 35x a game 😵‍💫

Yes he is, CU has more legitimate pros than they had year 1. Randon could be a day 2 pick if the right eyes see him, Santana is a PRO, Boo, Jojo Williams and Deandre Moore, and that’s just some of the names for 2027. Lamont and Chauncey are 2 definites that are too young
He’s not getting the elite talent he brought in Year 1 anymore. He promised us that would happen. It hasn’t. He promised us dominance, he hasn’t provided it, in a worse league than we were in previously. By his own expectations and promises, we aren’t winning. Just saying.

In its last four Big 12 games, dating back to last season, Colorado has gone into the fourth quarter trailing by an average of just 5.8 points (deficits of 4, 7, 7 and 5 points). The #cubuffs were outscored 58-14 in those four 4th quarters, losing by 25, 10, 10 and 22.

My preseason predictions were 3-2 at this point, with a W at Baylor being the only difference. Maybe this can spread some optimism?… 🤧

7-5 with a bowl and win to make it 8-5 was my prediction btw. It’s still possible, I believe this team is less likely to fully break apart like last years but it’s way easier said than done. And they gotta find an offensive identity ASAPP

He is not "calling it quits" - all rumors circulating today are false.

Genuinely how?.. Juju won the starting job, got 4 games and looked awful in all 3 vs real teams. I have a LOT of belief in Juju's future still, but I think it's insane if he's calling it quits on the team after being benched fairly. CU clearly needed to try and find a spark.

They screwed that kid over. Did Salter the same way.

Colorado’s defense has 43 TFLs this season (20 in the last two games). That’s the most in the Big 12 and third-most in all of FBS.

AM Manna: Leaders (Coaches, Pastors, etc.) CAN'T always share THEIR side of the story. They sometimes have to absorb blame. Why? Revealing the truth would do more damage. Integrity won't allow them to expose the vulnerable. Wisdom won't allow them to hurt the foolish.
