”I AM POLISH”
They come from a nation that refused to die.
Invaded and carved apart by the Nazis, their cities reduced to rubble, their people starved, shot, and burned in camps whose names still chill the blood—yet they fought on - in the forests and the sewers of Warsaw and above the skies of England.
Then came the decades of Communist occupation: the secret police, the economic stagnation, the empty shelves, the lies that freedom was a luxury they could not afford.
Solidarity rose anyway, shipyard by shipyard, church by church, until the system cracked. They paid in blood, prison, and exile for the right to decide their own future.
That history is why they do not treat sovereignty as a suggestion.
History is why they rejected political correctness and the woke agenda.
When other European capitals lectured the Poles to accept the mass migration of people from cultures and faiths that reject the foundations of what they rebuilt—Christian heritage, national continuity, the hard-won liberty they bled for—they remember what it cost to lose control of their own streets and institutions.
On 26 September 1940, in the middle of the Battle of Britain, King George VI visited the pilots of No. 303 (Kościuszko) Squadron at RAF Northolt. Formed only weeks earlier, these Polish airmen—many of them veterans who had already fought the Germans over Poland and France—became the highest-claiming Allied squadron of the battle, credited with 126 enemy aircraft in roughly six weeks of combat while flying Hurricanes.
Accounts and portrayals of that day capture the recognition the King showed:
“As I stand among you, I begin to feel a bit Polish myself.”
If we are going to save our own nations from the same fate as France—cities burning, fraying under riots, parallel societies, and the refusal to defend identity—then the rest of us need to stand together and feel a bit Polish ourselves as well.
While parts of France and other Western cities stand amid ruin, Polish bravery and the clear rejection of political correctness and the woke agenda have kept their people safe.
They have no interest in following anyone down a path that treats borders as obsolete, identity as bigotry, and political correctness as a higher law than the will of a free people.
Freedom was not handed to them, they took it back. They intend to keep it.
If we are going to save our nations - we all need to be at least a bit Polish.
