And this is another race that should suit him really well. This time, he’s joined by just two other Americans (instead of 6 today). 🇺🇸 Matthew Riccitello 🇺🇸 Quinn Simmons And I genuinely think Simmons and McNulty will be battling for the podium again. Simmons was 4th at Worlds and McNulty is, well… the World Champion. Add in a pretty strong field that includes McNulty’s UAE teammate Benoît Cosnefroy, and there are plenty of interesting options for UAE again. Cosnefroy is one of those riders who reminds me a bit of McNulty - punchy, aggressive and capable of making something happen on these kinds of courses. Crazy American sidenote: I could absolutely see Cosnefroy putting together a World Championship-winning ride someday if France gets the right team strategy around him. Although, of course, France will almost always have Paul Seixas to build around now. Running alongside Coppa Agostoni is the men’s 🇪🇺European Championship road race in Slovenia. 🇧🇪 Remco Evenepoel is the big favorite. But as always with Remco…we’ll see😏 With the race in Slovenia and Tadej Pogačar out, I’ve got my eyes on the home team.
