I met with Speaker of the Folketing of Denmark Søren Gade. I thanked him for Denmark’s strong and consistent support for Ukraine. Denmark always helps, and we know that this support comes not only from the government, but also from the parliament and all the Danish people. This is undoubtedly an escalation, and it is especially important now that the focus on supporting Ukraine does not waver. Financial contributions to Ukraine’s defense production and direct defense assistance, first and foremost air defenses to protect against jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles, are important. There are also opportunities under the European SAFE instrument that we can pursue together with Denmark to strengthen our shared security. We discussed all of this today.
