Technical Rescue Crews are on the scene of Echo Canyon Trailhead at Camelback Mountain for reports of an ill hiker. The PIO is on scene and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

All members are safely off of the mountain. Crews used a steep-angle rescue and a big-wheel stretcher to safely extricate an adult female off of the trail. Once at the trailhead she was reevaluated and declined transport to the hospital.

Firefighters have extinguished an apartment fire near 27th Ave. and Glendale. Crews were able to quickly gain fire control preventing extension to adjacent units. At this time a family of two will be displaced. The cause is under investigation.

Fire crews were able to rescue two dogs from a house fire near 53rd Ave and Southern. Both dogs suffered smoke inhalation and crews used oxygen to revive them both! Both dogs survived and were taken to an animal hospital

Firefighters have extinguished a garage fire near 43rd Ave and Southern Ave. The Community Assistance Program is assisting a family of 5 that has been displaced. No firefighter injuries were reported. Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
