The Proton Improvement Plan-II project is an upgrade to the @Fermilab accelerator complex that will provide a high-energy neutrino beam for @DUNEScience.
👋 Hello, Twitter!
We are the Proton Improvement Plan II project, or PIP-II: an essential enhancement to the @Fermilab accelerator complex. Our new #LinearAccelerator will one day power the world’s most intense high-energy #neutrino beam.

As the massive 95-metric ton coldbox completed its cross-Atlantic journey, the crowd at Fermilab braving frigid winter temperatures could imagine what the particle accelerator being chilled to -456 degrees Fahrenheit by the device must feel like. shawlocal.com/kane-county-ch…
We're preparing for a big move today at Fermilab! The #PIP2coldbox for the @PIP2accelerator is traveling across campus to its permanent home. Stay tuned for updates throughout the move! #FutureofFermilab
