When budgets get tight, transparency becomes even more important. People can handle difficult news better when they understand what is happening and why. This episode looks at how leaders can communicate through those moments. @PrincipalGarden @PJCaposey @bamradionetwork bamradionetwork.com/track/le…

Being indispensable can feel like proof you're a great leader. Sometimes it's proof you haven't developed anyone around you. Leadership requires accepting worse results today to build greater capacity tomorrow. That's the development tax. preview.mailerlite.io/emails…

Budget cuts are inevitable. Navigating them is difficult. One suggestion from this discussion that stood out to me was, "know your numbers." This may sound obvious but it's not. I often didn't know them well or as well as I could have. By knowing the numbers, you can sometimes see patterns and at least not be totally surprised when budget cuts happen. Also, knowing your numbers helps when having important and difficult conversations. It shows you care enough to know the details. @PrincipalGarden @PJCaposey @bamradionetwork bamradionetwork.com/track/le…

This is becoming a trend all small town and rural parents and leaders need to be watching.
🏫 School Closures Spark Community Concern Families in Toledo, Ohio are pushing back after district leaders proposed closing several elementary schools as part of efforts to address major budget challenges. (the-sun.com) The district says declining enrollment, financial pressures, and aging facilities are forcing difficult decisions — including consolidating schools to reduce operational costs. But for many parents and community members, the issue goes beyond budgets: 👉 Longer travel times for young students 👉 Larger class sizes and overcrowding concerns 👉 Loss of neighborhood schools and community identity 👉 And uncertainty about student support during transitions School closures often affect more than buildings — they reshape communities, routines, and relationships that families rely on every day. For rural and underserved communities especially, the conversation raises a difficult question: When schools close, what else does a community lose? 🔗 Read more: the-sun.com/news/16334219/to… Shared by Dr. Melissa Sadorf, Executive Director of the National Rural Education Association (NREA) #SchoolClosures #EducationFunding #RuralEducation #K12Education #CommunitySchools #NREA

The people who need your leadership the most are often the hardest people to lead. Not because they are difficult. Because they are close. Proximity raises the leadership standard. Don't let comfort replace clarity. Read more here: preview.mailerlite.io/emails…

Leadership is not measured by how many people follow you. It is measured by how many leaders exist because of you. This week's blog explores the difference between growing leaders and growing leaders who grow leaders + why that distinction matters. preview.mailerlite.io/emails…
