I saw Primetime earlier this week, and I wasn't as impressed as those who are raving about this film. I did find the story interesting, the cast was good, and Pattinson gives an Oscar worthy showing. It was entertaining so this film gets three and half stars for me. #Primetime

Last night, I checked out "The Weight" which is a new film starring Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe. I was blown away as the cast is killer, and the film is loaded with old school white knuckle suspense. More than a few scenes give you that pit-in-your-stomach dread, which made for a damn good time at my local theatre. One of the best films I've seen this year! Worth checking out if you like a good heist film that's held up by some pretty fine acting. #TheWeight

This week's prompt on Novellea (@NovelleaApp) is "By the end of the trip, there was an extra passenger." Since last week's story was pretty dark, I chose to write something light and heartwarming. This story which is titled "An Extra Passenger" is about a weekend road trip to attend a wedding that gains one unexpected passenger. What begins as a simple act of kindness turns into connection no one saw coming. I also made one major change with this story, and that being its setting. This new story is based in Japan, which is a country I had the pleasure of visiting a while back. This story comes in just under 12,000 words and is a lovely story that is a good palate cleanser after the dark tale I dropped on everyone last week.
