Shri Jayanta Narayan Das, Member (Technical), @PNGRB_ , delivered the keynote address at the 2-day Online Training Programme on Process Safety Management in the Oil & Gas Sector, jointly organised by PNGRB and Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (@GIDMOfficial ) on 23–24 September 2026. In his address, Shri Jayanta Narayan Das emphasised that process safety must go beyond regulatory compliance and be embedded across engineering, operations, maintenance and management. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, had an insightful discussion with Shri Anil K. Support was sought from the J&K Government to reduce VAT, streamline approvals and accelerate CNG/PNG adoption across key sectors. 🇮🇳 From Cylinders to Pipelines. The Indian Army is set to transition 41 Army Stations to PNG in FY 2026–27, advancing cleaner, safer and more efficient energy use. At the programme, Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Chairperson, PNGRB, highlighted energy security, strong regulation and expansion of the natural gas ecosystem as key enablers of India’s vision for a gas-based economy. The Indian Army PNG Guide was jointly released by Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, QMG and Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha, DGST, providing a common framework for safe and structured PNG adoption. The #IndianArmy organised the PNG Transition Webinar-2026 at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt to accelerate the transition to Piped Natural Gas (PNG) across feasible Army establishments. The webinar brought together key stakeholders from the Indian Army, Government agencies, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), Defence Estates Organisation, Military Engineer Services and City Gas Distribution (CGD) entities. The Indian Army PNG Guide was also released, providing a common framework for structured transition.
