It was a pleasure to present at Nephrology Grand Rounds @thisisUIC University of Illinois Chicago and delve into the nuances of isolated IVC and lung #POCUS. Grateful to the team for the kind invitation and for the great turnout and enthusiasm for #POCUS in #Nephrology.
Acute multiple rib # is a common finding in ED
ESP or SAP (lateral/anterior#) blocks are effective/efficient in pain management
See e.g. of the one I recently performed in ED👇🏽
ESP (posterolateral #) SAP(anterolateral #)
Wanna know which blocks in ED might require curvilinear ultrasound probe instead?
ESP & PENG in some cases due to either the depth/body
ESP with curvilinear for multiple rib # recent example (pain down from 10/10 to 3/10 post block) 👇🏽
