One year ago, I was lying in an AIIMS hospital bed, fighting for my life.
At a time when I felt completely alone and had no one to turn to, Sheela Didi came into my life like an answer to a prayer.
She was just a #Quora follower. We had never met. We weren't relatives, friends, or even acquaintances.
When Suhana called her and said, “Papa is admitted in AIIMS,” she didn't think twice. She simply took a flight from Ahmedabad to Bhubaneswar
An unfamiliar city. Unknown people. And she arrived around midnight—alone, yet standing beside us when we needed someone the most.
I also cannot forget IPS Shri Soumendra Kumar Priyadarshi ji , whose help and support during that difficult time meant a lot to my family. His assistance made a real difference when we were going through one of the most difficult phases of our lives.
And then there is Pinaki Mohanty, my elder brother, who has stood by my family and taken responsibility for our home ever since my cancer journey began in 2019.
His support played a huge role in helping me come out of #AIIMS and return home.
Today, it has been exactly one year.
Some people enter your life through blood.
Some through friendship.
Some through unexpected circumstances.
And some are simply sent by God.
Sheela Didi, Pinaki Bhaiya ( Hunger Free Odisha) and IPS Shri Soumendra Kumar Priyadarshi Sir—thank you for standing beside me when I needed people the most.
I may never be able to repay what you did for me and my family.

It is a level of cowardice that no other species on Earth exhibits.If you can dissolve a bond of unconditional love just because life got complicated, you haven't just failed as an owner—you’ve failed as a human being. She spent her days on a chain so short she couldn’t even rest her head.
Her name was Cala. She was a guard dog at a mechanic’s yard near San José, Costa Rica. The chain around her neck was so short that when she sat, her head hung from it. She was starved. When she got sick, no one took her to a vet. The metal cut into her neck for years.
Neighbors finally called the police and Territorio de Zaguates. Rescuers found her too weak to stand. They cut the chain, treated the wounds and the starvation, and brought her to the sanctuary.
Healing was slow. She was terrified of people and other dogs. Then someone snuck into the sanctuary and left poisoned sausages. Sixteen dogs died. Cala survived.
She went to a foster family. The dog who once could not lay her head down became strong, stubborn, a little spoiled — and, for the first time, able to rest.
The before picture is hard to look at. The after picture is why you look anyway.
Love doesn’t always win. This time it did.

A cow was reportedly slaughtered at around 3:00 AM (23-09-2026), reportedly just 200 metres from a standing PCR vehicle.
This is deeply concerning because this is reportedly the second cow-slaughter case at the same location that has come to public attention.
If police and authorities had already been alerted about alleged cow slaughter around this stretch, the obvious question is:
Why was it not stopped earlier❓
If one case has now come to light, how many more incidents may have gone unnoticed at the same location❓
Why wasn't CCTV/digital surveillance used to identify and track the alleged offenders and vehicles❓

✅ BNS 325 - culling, poisoning, maiming or rendering an animal useless
Conduct a fair investigation, rescue any surviving animals, seize evidence and take strict legal action against anyone found guilty.
