Something I like about Andy Green, and you can tell it’s something he learned in player development
He’s quick to compliment the young players, but he’s just as quick to point out what can take them to the next level
It’s always about improving and growing as a player
Andy Green says Carson Benge can further improve his strength this offseason:
"When he looks at his offseason, he's got strength he's got to add to this frame. When he does that, I think a lot of the balls that end up on the warning track just get hit harder."

Falvey, who worked with David Stearns together in Cleveland from 2011-2012, oversaw the Twins' roster building from 2017-2026 and is expected to hold a "significant role" in the Mets' decision-making process, per Sammon

Comes from a different background from Stearns too, so it’s a different perspective which was needed IMO

He comes from a scouting background and was Co-Director of Baseball Operations with David Stearns in Cleveland in 2011
The New York Mets are moving toward hiring Derek Falvey to a role within their front office, league sources tell The Athletic.

This in some ways sounds like Terry Collins who learned from his stints with the Angels and Astros where he had a similar attitude. He evolved and did a great job with the Mets
Interesting to hear Green say he learned from managing with a know-it-all style in failed stint with Padres 10 years ago, when he talked tough to players and led w/ his chin. Says he's learned to challenge players in a more productive, positive way and as such is a better leader.
